Literacy, Art, and new iPad game!

Important Dates:

Tuesdays: library
April Vacation - 24 - 28
Early Release - May 10

Parent/Teacher Conferences:
I really enjoyed meeting with all the families and celebrating all the hard work the students are doing. As always, if you have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact me. Thanks for  all your support!

Extras for this Week:
This week was a super busy week! On Monday, People from KPMG volunteered their time to read with each class and donate two books for each student. Our class loved hearing the Disney stories.

On Friday, the high school teamed up with the elementary school to create a district wide art display. Our class had so much fun with high school students! Here are pictures of the students working together and then the finished art display.

Literacy:
We are moving on from nonfiction back to fiction! The students very quickly got back into their Reader's Workshop routines and are loving reading fiction books with each other. As a class, we are working on showing we are the Boss of our Reading!

Math:
We continue to work on place value. Miss Willoughby shared a great website (kahoot.it). Using this website, we played a class game on our ipads to review many of the place value concepts.
