Last week we had the Big Blue Trunk come to school for 2 hours of first grade fun! We had a blast! This was paid for by the PTO as our end of year field trip. After playing for 2 hours, we had pizza in the classroom. Everyone (teachers and students) had fun playing together, running around, getting faces painted, and air brushed tattoos. What a great day! I wish I had taken more pictures but I was having too much fun. A group of teachers worked with a great group of women in the Family Literacy Class. These women worked on writing their autobiographies, giving the reader a glimpse of what life is like when fist arriving in a new country. New food, culture, weather, language.
